Gebet ist mehr als nur zu bitten. Gebet ist mehr als nur zu loben. Gebet ist mehr als nur zu danken. Gebet ist mehr als nur zu flehen oder für jemanden etwas zu erbitten, mehr als nur niederzuknien oder demütig zu sein. Gebet ist Erwarten! Erwarten, dass Gott uns willkommen heißt; Erwarten, dass Gott uns hört; Erwarten, dass Gott uns im Gebet begegnet und das Beste für uns und für unsere Lieben tun wird.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Prayer is more than asking. Prayer is more than praising. Prayer is more than thanking. Prayer is more than requesting or interceding or kneeling or humbling ourselves. Prayer is expecting that God wants us there, expecting that God hears us, and expecting that God will meet us in our prayer time and do what is best for us and those we love.
Mein Gebet
Liebender Vater, ewiger Gott. Ich danke dir, dass du mir in dieser Zeit des Gebets begegnest. Mir ist bewusst, dass ich dir lieb bin, dass du dir alles anhörst, was ich dir mitteile. Danke dir, dass du sogar mir deine Aufmerksamkeit schenkst. Danke, dass du mich wie dein Kind annimmst. Danke dir in Jesu Namen. Amen.
My Prayer...
Loving Father and Eternal God, thank you for meeting me in this prayer time. I know that you hear me and care about what I share with you. Thank you for paying attention to someone like me and accepting me as your precious child. Thank you, in Jesus' name. Amen.
