An Update from Verse of the Day
Friends of Verse of the Day,
Twice each year, in June and November, we invite readers of VerseoftheDay.com and Heartlight to help support our ministry through their prayers and gifts. Reaching about 340,000 people per day with free resources, we depend upon the support of our readers and friends to keep the ministry going and growing.
We especially are in need for partners who will help with our translation of Verse of the Day into Arabic, Urdu (Pakistan), Farsi (Iran—hopefully launching in the next few months), and Hindi (India in the near future). It takes between $250 and $275 per month for us to bring these new languages on line their first four years. There are several ways you can help with the translation needs and our ongoing ministry efforts.
First, please pray for us and our team. We have several translators that live in dangerous places for Christians—Egypt, Pakistan, and Iran. We also want to have integrity in the way we handle our ministry both in the way we handle the Word of God and also in the way we conduct our lives and ministry.

Now for a bit of update news on plans for the ministry. Some great things are in the works for the next several months:
Expansion of Verse of the Day into Farsi — Farsi is the language of Iran and many Persian Christians dispersed throughout the world speak Farsi. This is something we have prayed to happen for several years. We hope to add Hindi (for India) this next year.
Topical Bible Verses — We know many of you often are searching for bible verses about specific topics—particularly as they relate to our daily devotionals. Soon we'll offer a way to explore verses, devotionals, and inspirational artwork that are centered on topics and situations in our everyday lives.
Mobile-friendly Redesign of Heartlight.org — While we have Heartlight.mobi and the Heartlight App, we want to redesign the whole site with its 20 years of content to be faster and more mobile-friendly for phones, tablets, and other devices. We hope to have this completed for our 20th anniversary on April 3, 2016.
