So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

The righteous will never be uprooted, but the wicked will not remain in the land.

How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God under foot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?

The prospect of the righteous is joy, but the hopes of the wicked come to nothing.

But some troublemakers said, "How can this fellow [Saul] save us?" They despised him and brought him no gifts. But Saul kept silent.

The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it.

Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another — and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Correct me, Lord, but only with justice — not in your anger, lest you reduce me to nothing.

"Everything is permissible" — but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is permissible" — but not everything is constructive. Nobody should seek his own good, but the good of others.

All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.

Fear the Lord your God and serve him. Hold fast to him...

When words are many, sin is not absent, but he who holds his tongue is wise.

If a man is lazy, the rafters sag; if his hands are idle, the house leaks.

He who heeds discipline shows the way to life, but whoever ignores correction leads others astray.

Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks a participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ?

But the Israelites said to the Lord, "We have sinned. Do with us whatever you think best, but please rescue us now."

To the Lord your God belong the heavens, even the highest heavens, the earth and everything in it.

No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

Sow for yourselves righteousness, reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the Lord, until he comes and showers righteousness on you.

I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

But the Lord is the true God; he is the living God, the eternal King...

"Praise be to the Lord your God, who has delighted in you and placed you on the throne of Israel. Because of the Lord's eternal love for Israel, he has made you king, to maintain justice and righteousness."

The wise in heart accept commands, but a chattering fool comes to ruin.

Who should not revere you, O King of the nations? This is your due. Among all the wise men of the nations and in all their kingdoms, there is no one like you.

Blessings crown the head of the righteous, but violence overwhelms the mouth of the wicked.

We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.

Moses then said to Aaron, "This is what the Lord spoke of when he said: "'Among those who approach me I will show myself holy; in the sight of all the people I will be honored.'" Aaron remained silent.

In his arrogance the wicked man hunts down the weak, who are caught in the schemes he devises.

Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees, to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people, making widows their prey and robbing the fatherless.
