Gedanken zum Vers des Tages

Was rettet uns? Das, was Gott für uns in Jesus getan hat! Lasst uns eine hingebungsvolle Entscheidung treffen, nämlich nichts von unserem Vertrauen und unserer Abhängigkeit in die Hoffnung auf das heilbringende Evangelium preiszugeben. Es gibt keinen anderen Namen, kein anderes Evangelium und keine andere Botschaft, die uns Heil bringen kann. (s. Apg. 4,12; Gal. 1,3-9; Kol. 2,6-16) Wir brauchen nichts Zusätzliches. Wir dürfen nicht zulassen, dass sich jemand davon entfernt. Lasst uns an diesem Glauben und Vertrauen in Gottes Gnade, die uns in Jesus geschenkt worden ist, festhalten!

Thoughts on Today's Verse...

What saves us? What God did for us in Jesus! Let's commit to let nothing make us relinquish our trust and dependency upon that hope, that Gospel by which we are saved (1 Corinthians 15:3-7). No name, person, or message can bring us true salvation other than the person, work, and Gospel of Jesus (John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Galatians 1:3-9). We don't need to add anything else to it. We must never let anyone take anything from it. Let's hold firmly to this faith as trust in God's grace in Jesus!

Mein Gebet

Vater, ich vertraue keinem anderen Gott außer dir. Ich schenke keinem anderen Evangelium Vertrauen als der Geschichte deiner Liebe und Gnade in Jesus. Genauso, wie es ein altes Kirchenlied so schön zum Ausdruck bringt, bitte ich dich darum, lieber Vater, dass sich meine Liebe zu dir niemals erschöpfen wird. In Jesu Namen bete ich. Amen.

My Prayer...

Father, I trust in no other god for you alone are God.. I trust in no other Gospel but the story of your love and grace in Jesus. There is no other Savior and Lord other than Jesus. As the old hymn so beautifully prays, "Lord, let me never, never, outlive my love to Thee." In Jesus' name, I fervently pray this. Amen.
