Gedanken zum Vers des Tages
Ich kann wählen, aus welcher Quelle die Informationen kommen, mit denen ich mein Gehirn “füttere”. Aber dieses Vorrecht und diese Freiheit bedeuten auch Verantwortung. Gott sehnt sich danach, mich zu segnen, aber dieser Segen liegt so lange brach, bis mein Herz erfreut seinen Willen erkennt und tut.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Although the world around us screams all sorts of messages to us, we get to choose which sources of information we feed our minds. This privilege and freedom also come with the responsibility to choose what we hear and obey. As followers of Jesus, choosing to listen to God's truth is not just a choice, but a holy commitment. God longs to bless us with his will, revealed in the Scriptures, and with his moral guidance and definitions of what is holy and acceptable in his law. However, that blessing remains dormant until our hearts delight in knowing and doing his will. Let's find our delight in knowing and doing God's will, like the Son and our Savior, Jesus, did throughout his life on earth!
Mein Gebet
Wundervoller Schöpfer, in der gleichen Weise, wie du eine wunderschöne Welt geschaffen und mich im Mutterleib geformt hast, bitte ich dich darum, dass du eine Sehnsucht in mir schaffst, deine Wahrheit zu erkennen und mir die Einsicht schenkst, sie auch zu leben. Ich weiß, dass dein Heiliger Geist in mir wohnt, um mir auf dieser Reise zu helfen. Ich möchte dir so sehr gefallen und dich segnen, weil du mich auf vielerlei Weise so gesegnet hast. Im Namen Jesu bete ich. Amen.
My Prayer...
O Wondrous Creator, just as you fashioned such a beautiful world and put me together tenderly in my mother's womb, I also ask that you create a desire in me to know your truth and have the will to live that truth. I know your Holy Spirit is in me to empower and transform me on this journey. I yearn to please you and bless you for all the ways you have blessed me. I choose to delight in your truth! In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
