Pensamientos sobre el Verso de Hoy
La santidad es la virtud que muchas veces olvidamos, sin embargo es la reflexión de Dios por parte del creyente, su Padre Santo y Justo. En un día cuando la gracia es barata y cualquier cosa se acepta mientras seamos amigos de Jesús, las palabras de Pedro deben de llevarnos de vuelta a la reverencia, este compromiso santo de apartar nuestras vidas de la maldad y la suciedad satánica que ensucia nuestro mundo. Debemos de ofrecer nuestros cuerpos, corazones y mentes a hacer la voluntad de Dios y reflejar a su carácter.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Holiness is that oft-forgotten character virtue that is the Christian's reflection of God, their holy and righteous Father. In a day when grace is so easily cheapened, when anything goes as acceptable just as long as we want to be buddies with Jesus, Peter's words should shock us into reverence — the holy commitment to set our lives apart from the evil and satanic sludge that defiles our world and to offer our bodies, hearts, and minds to do his will and reflect his character. As Peter challenges us, "You ought to live holy and godly lives." Why? Because we are looking forward to the day of God's salvation to dawn in all of its fullness for those who are his (2 Peter 3:13, 15).

Padre Santo y Justo, enséñame a hacer tu voluntad y reflejar tu carácter mientras ofrezco gracia a los demás. Que los movimientos de mi corazón y las acciones de mi vida sean aceptables a Ti, reflejando tu santidad y gracia. En el nombre santo de Jesús oro, Amén.
My Prayer...
Holy and Righteous Father, please teach me to do your will and reflect your character as I offer your grace to others. May the movements of my heart, the thoughts of my mind, and the actions of my life be pleasing to you and reflect your holiness and grace. In Jesus' holy name I pray. Amen.
