Pensamientos sobre el Verso de Hoy
La oscuridad es más que un símbolo, es una manera de vivir y mirar el mundo. La oscuridad es un lugar de engaño, maldad, crimen, pecado y muerte. Seguir a Jesús involucra invitarlo a nuestros corazones para que pueda echar a la oscuridad interior y así permitirnos vivir sin preocupación de la oscuridad exterior. De esta manera, Jesús nos da luz, pero es más que una luz que alumbra un lugar oscuro, es una luz que ilumina al corazón.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Darkness is more than a symbol; it is a pervasive way of living and viewing the world. Darkness is the place of deception, evil, crime, predators, sin, and death. To follow Jesus means each of us brings our heart to him and lets him cast out the darkness that plagues us inside, so we don't have to fear the darkness outside. In this way, Jesus gives us light that is so much more than just a light that illuminates a dark room. He is the true light, the light of life that the darkness cannot defeat (John 1:4, 9). And this light now shines in us and makes us vessels of grace that share that light with those trapped in darkness (2 Corinthians 4:6-7; Matthew 5:14-16).

Santo Dios quien vive en luz gloriosa, te alabo por mandar a Jesús a sacar los temores que tan fácilmente me dan miedo. Oro para tener el esfuerzo y coraje de no solo vivir en la luz, sino de mostrar a los demás la luz de Cristo. En el nombre de Jesús oro, Amén.
My Prayer...
Holy God, who lives in glorious and irrepressible light, I praise you for sending Jesus to cast away the dark fears that so easily envelop me. I pray for strength and courage to not only live in the light, but to show others the way to Jesus, the light of life. In his name I pray. Amen.
