Pensées sur le Verset du Jour...
Je déteste le racisme et l'exclusivité. Mais ma répugnance ne correspond pas à la répulsion de Dieu face à ces choses. D'un autre côté, nous pouvons anticiper le chœur du ciel (voir Apocalypse 7:9ff.) si nous nous acceptons les uns les autres en Jésus et ne laissons pas la race, la langue, la culture ou la suspicion nous empêcher de nous aimer comme nous l'avons déjà été aimé du Sauveur.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
I hate racism and exclusivity. But my loathing does not match God's revulsion at these things. On the other hand, we can anticipate the choir of heaven (Revelation 7:9-11) where fellow believers "from every nation, tribe, people and language" will worship Jesus together in glory! But, dear friend in Jesus, we must accept one another in Jesus now, and not let race, language, culture, or suspicion keep us from loving each other as we have already been loved by the Savior. Why do we do this? Because it is right, it is what Jesus does, and it brings glory to God!
Ma Prière...
Père Saint et Juste, je prie pour que nous laissions ton Esprit et ta grâce nous aider à abattre tout mur qui divise ton peuple en raison de sa race, de sa culture ou de ses privilèges. Apprends-nous, apprends-moi, à aimer tous les peuples comme Tu le fais. Au nom de Jésus, qui est mort pour tous les peuples du monde, je prie. Amen.
My Prayer...
Holy and Righteous Father, I pray that we will have the Holy Spirit use your grace to help us tear down any and all walls that divide your people based on race, culture, status, ethnicity, or privilege. Teach us, and please teach me, to love all peoples as you did when you sent Jesus to save the people "from every nation, tribe, people and language." In the name of Jesus, who died for all people everywhere, I pray. Amen.
