Pensées sur le Verset du Jour...
Christ est à la fois l'accomplissement de la loi (le but et la destination de la loi) et aussi la fin de la loi. Nous ne sommes plus jugés sur la base du respect de la loi. Certes, la norme utilisée pour nous est la justice de Dieu, mais c'est une norme que Jésus rencontre en nous en étant l'offrande pour le péché pour nous, et en envoyant l'Esprit pour nous donner le pouvoir. Cela signifie que Dieu peut nous déclarer justes tout en nous transformant pour nous efforcer d'être justes dans notre façon de vivre. Le but de la loi est accompli et trouve son accomplissement en Christ alors que son salut nous transforme.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Christ is both the fulfillment of the Law (the goal and destination of the Law) and also the end of the Law. We are no longer judged on the basis of law-keeping. True, the standard used for us is the righteousness of God, but this is a standard that Jesus meets in us and for us by being the sin offering for us and sending the Spirit to empower us. This means that God can declare us righteous while at the same time transforming us to strive toward being righteous in the way we live. The Law's goal is fulfilled and finds its completion in Christ as his salvation transforms us.
Ma Prière...
Cher Père, je crois que Jésus est ton cher Fils, envoyé pour être mon Sauveur, crucifié pour mes péchés et ressuscité des morts pour ma victoire. Je lui confie mon salut et je te remercie pour ton incroyable don de grâce. Au nom de Jésus-Christ mon Seigneur. Amen.

Dear Father, I do believe that Jesus is your dear Son, sent to be my Savior, crucified for my sins, and raised from the dead for my victory. I trust my salvation to him and thank you for your incredible gift of grace. In the name of Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen.
