오늘의 묵상
정작 행복, 기쁨, 중요성, 삶의 의미 등을 찾으려고 애써도 거의 그런 것들을 찾아내지 못합니다만, 그 대신에 이웃들을 섬기기 위해 우리 자신을 제공하고 주님과 그분의 사역에 온 마음으로 우리 자신을 드릴 때에야, 우리가 가장 필요로 하는 것을 찾게 된다는 것은... 참으로 기묘한 사실이 아닐 수 없습니다.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Isn't it sad that when we set off to find happiness, joy, significance, or meaning, we seldom find it the way we hope to find it? Instead, when we offer ourselves to serve others and give ourselves wholeheartedly to the Lord and his work, it is then that we find what we most need and what is most fulfilling. Plus, in doing this service to others, we resemble our Savior (Mark 10:43-45) and are assured that God is honored and will honor us (Philippians 2:6-11), because of how we live.

오 모든 선하고 완벽한 선물을 주시는 분이시여, 오늘 아버지의 나라와 그 영광을 드러내는 방법으로 아버지와 이웃들을 섬길 수 있는 기회를 제게 주시옵소서. 제 마음의 필요를 채워주시는 과정이시라면, 감사를 드립니다. 거룩한 종 예수님의 이름으로 기도드립니다. 아멘.
My Prayer...
O Giver of every good and perfect gift (James 1:17-18), please bless me with opportunities to serve others and honor you in ways that demonstrate your grace and bring the reign of your kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. When, in the process of serving others, you choose to meet the needs of my heart, I thank you for this double opportunity to give grace and receive it. I pray this through your servant Jesus, and to be transformed by the Spirit to be evermore like him. Amen.
