오늘의 묵상
"하나님께서 세상을 이처럼 사랑하셔서 ..." "아버지께서는 하늘과 땅에 있는 각 족속에게 이름을 붙여 주신 분이십니다..." 하나님은 이스라엘만의 하나님은 아니십니다. 주 하나님께서는 하늘과 땅의 통치자이시며 모든 나라의 하나님이시고 "모든 무릎이 내게 꿇을 것이요 모든 혀가 하나님께 자백하리라"고 하셨으며, 결국 "모두가 예수 그리스도는 주님이시라고 고백하여, 하나님 아버지께 영광을 돌리게 하셨습니다."
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
When I read the phrase "he is called the God of all the earth" in today's verse, several other Bible passages came to mind:
"For God so loved the world..." (John 3:16).
"The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth..." (Acts 17:24).
"The Father, from whom every family on earth derives its name..." (Ephesians 3:15).
God is not just the God of Israel or any particular nation, race, tradition, or culture. The Lord God, ruler of heaven and earth, is the God of all nations. As a follower of the Christ, I believe all people will one day recognize God for what he did in Jesus:
[A]t the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:10-11 NASB).
The Holy One of Israel, the Redeemer and God of all the earth, has extended his grace through Jesus to draw all peoples to himself. And as the apostle Paul said:
"From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth... God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us" (Acts 17:26-27).

위대한 구속자, 모든 나라의 아버지시여, 저를 포함한 당신의 백성을 축복하시기 위해 하신 모든 일들에 대해, 감사와 찬양을 올리려 당신의 보좌 앞으로 겸손히 제가 나아옵니다. 제 삶 속에서 당신을 알게 하시고, 매일의 임재하심을 인지하도록 도와주십시오. 사랑하는 아버지, 제 몸이 당신의 은혜와 거룩하신 이름이 머물기 적당하지 않은 곳이었다면 용서해 주십시오. 한때 저를 사로잡았던 죄에서 구속하심에 감사를 드립니다. 제 마음을 지켜주시고, 사악한 자의 속이는 거짓말에서도 저를 구해주십시오. 예수님 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
My Prayer...
Great Redeemer and the Father of all nations and peoples, I humbly come before you to offer my thanks and praise for all you have done to bless us. Guide me as I seek to know you fully and be more aware of your daily presence in my life. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
