오늘의 묵상
죄를 지으면 죽음을 얻게 되며, 그것은 우리 행위의 대가일 뿐입니다 — 우리를 사랑하시고 자신의 가장 귀한 선물을 주셔서 우리를 죄에서 구하시려는 하나님에 대한 반역이 바로 죄입니다! 하나님의 선물은 무료입니다 — 예수 그리스도 안에서 누리는 영원한 생명입니다. 우리는 그 선물을 일해서 벌 수도 없고, 받을 자격도 없고, 요구할 수도 없습니다. 그냥 은혜로 하나님께서 주신 것입니다.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
When we face death because of sin, we're only being paid what we've earned. Sin is rebellion against God — the Father who loves us and the Son who gave up glory to endure the cross to redeem us from sin! Praise God, the Father's gift of eternal life is a free gift offered to us by grace, which we accept through faith in Jesus as our Savior and Lord! We could not earn it, deserve it, or demand it. God not only provided us with this gift, but also offered it to us in love. For us to spurn it or not receive it with passionate faith is to choose to receive what we've earned:
The wages of sin is death..., but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

하나님, 다른 어떤 이가 할 수도 없고 하려고 하지도 않았을 때 저를 사랑해주셔서 감사드립니다. 하늘의 가장 값진 선물을 희생시키셔서 저도 그곳에 함께 하게 해주심에 감사드립니다. 제가 받은 모든 선물들 중에, 하나님께서 주신 것이 최고입니다. 제게 생명을 건네주신 분의 이름으로 이 찬양을 드립니다! 아멘.
My Prayer...
Thank you, God, for loving me when no one else could or would. Thank you for sacrificing the most precious gift of heaven so I could join you there as your child, your beloved child, just like my Savior Jesus. Of all the gifts I've ever received, yours is the best. I offer this praise in the name of one whose gift has given me life! Amen.
