오늘의 묵상
세례를 받아 그리스도와 하나가 되었을때, 우리는 십자가에 함께 못박혀서 새로운 사람으로 다시 태어나게 됩니다. 그리스도께서 우리 안에 살아계십니다. 진정 도전이 되는 것은, 우리들의 세상에 그리스도께서 살아계신 것을 보여주는 것입니다! 그렇게 하는 동기가 무엇일까요? 구원을 얻기 위해서가 아닙니다. 구원은 이미 은혜로 받은 것입니다. 그 대신에, 우리 모두를 구하기 위해 희생하신 그리스도께 영광을 돌리기 위해서입니다. (로마서 6:1-14)
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
When we were baptized into Christ, we shared in his crucifixion and burial, and were raised to be a new person through our faith in the power of God (Romans 6:3-7; Colossians 2:12-15). Christ is not only alive in us, but our life and future are joined with him in his glory (Colossians 3:1-4). The real challenge is for us to be Christ's presence to our broken world!
How do we do this? We do this as we live by faith in Jesus, who gave himself for us.
Our motivation to do this? It is not to earn our salvation, which has already been given to us by grace, and we received it by faith. Now, we do it to honor him who sacrificed his all to save us.
We can say with the apostle Paul:
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
내 기도
하나님, 저를 사랑해주시고 제 죄에서 저를 대속하시기 위해 예수님을 보내셔서 감사드립니다. 하나님과 영원한 삶을 누리게 해주시려고, 자기 자신을 내어주신 하나님의 아들을 믿는 믿음으로 살아가겠다는 다짐을 오늘 하나님 앞에서 합니다. 하나님의 영으로 도우셔서, 제 삶 속에서 예수님의 삶이 드러나도록 도와주시옵소서. 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
My Prayer...
Thank you, God, for loving me and sending Jesus to redeem me from my sin. I commit to you today that I will live by faith in your Son, who gave himself so I can spend eternity with you. I ask for the Holy Spirit's power and help so that Jesus' presence comes alive in me. Through Jesus, I pray and seek to live for your glory. Amen.
