오늘의 묵상
성경의 모든 위대한 영웅들과 함께, 작은 자나 큰 자나 할 것없이 우리들도 확신을 갖고 하나님의 사역을 시행할 수 있습니다. 하지만 하나님께서 우리가 가기를 원하시는 곳에 용감히 가기 위해서는, 우리 삶을 얽매고 우리의 비전을 왜곡시키며 우리의 의심들을 확대시키는데다가 영적인 생명과 활기까지 빼앗아버리는 죄악을 먼저 벗어버려야 합니다.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
With the example of all the great heroes of the Bible, both big and small, we can do God's work with confidence. But for us to boldly go where he wants us to go, we must first let go of "the sin that so easily entangles", our lives, distorts our vision, enlarges our doubts, and robs us of our spiritual vitality and stamina. As we put those things away from our lives, we can then look "to Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith" and we can "not grow weary" or "lose heart" (Hebrews 12:2-3). We can join the apostle Paul when he said he had fought the good fight, had finished his race, and could trust that God's bountiful grace had great things in store for him (2 Timothy 4:6-8). Let's help each other to keep running the race by putting off the sin and looking to Jesus!

거룩하신 아버지, 제 죄를 용서해 주십시오. 노골적인 죄들 뿐만 아니라, 거룩하지 않은 것들을 장난삼아 해보려는 마음, 영적으로 위험한 음행을 저지르는 것, 사탄이 장악한 세상의 흔적을 남기는 것들에 제 자신을 내맡겼던 것들도 용서해 주십시오. 아버지로부터 저를 잡아 이끄는 것들에 대해서는 단호하게 아니라고 말할 수 있도록 힘을 주시고, 아버지를 더욱 닮을 수 있는 것들에 대한 열정을 품을 수 있도록 도우시옵소서. 나의 주 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
My Prayer...
Holy Father, please forgive me for my sins. Not just my blatant sins, but my willingness to dabble in things that are not holy, to flirt with spiritually dangerous things, and to expose myself to unholy things that leave a residue of evil one's corruption in my heart. Please, give me the strength to say "NO!" to the things that distract me from you and to embrace with passion those things that make me more like you as I pursue Jesus as my example, Savior, and Lord. In the name of Christ Jesus, I pray this. Amen.
