오늘의 묵상
(팀의 구성원중에서) 가장 마지막으로 선택받았을 때가 있었나요? 그 팀에서 아무도 당신이 뽑히는 것을 원하지 않았던 때가 있었나요? 예수 그리스도 안에서 하나님께서 우리를 고르셨다는 것이 놀랍습니다! 모든 세대의 왕 하나님과 그 독생자에게 사랑받고 선택받았다는 것이 놀랍지 않나요! 그것뿐 아닙니다. 불쌍해서 고르신 것이 아니라, 변화를 위해 선택하셨습니다. 우리는 언제까지나 지속될 열매를 맺기 위해 선택받았습니다! 그런 열매 맺음을 돕기 위하여 예수님께서 약속하신 것은, 하나님의 나라를 위해 일하는 우리 사역에 하나님께서 축복하시도록 구할 수 있다는 것과, 곧 하나님께서 축복하실 것이라는 약속입니다. 이것은 믿을 수 없을만큼 놀라운 것입니다!
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Were you ever the last one chosen at recess when kids were dividing up teams? Were you ever the one no one wanted on your team? Ouch. That hurts deeply. So, isn't it remarkable that God, the Creator of the universe, chose us in Jesus Christ, even before the beginning of the world (Ephesians 1:4)? Isn't it amazing that we are loved and desired by the King of the Ages and his Son, Jesus Christ! Not only that, we weren't chosen out of pity, but chosen to make a difference for the Kingdom of God by bearing fruit that will endure. To help ensure our fruitfulness, Jesus promised that we can ask for God's blessing on our work for His Kingdom, and God will bless us with it. Incredible!
내 기도
오 하나님, 당신의 은혜만큼 값진 사역과 비젼에 대해 제 마음을 열어주시옵소서. 하나님께 영광돌릴 것들을 구하고, 하나님의 나라를 확장하고, 제 집중력을 흐트러뜨리는 한계들을 뛰어넘는 것들이 제 기도 속에 녹아 있기를 원합니다. 예수님 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
My Prayer...
Give me a heart, O God, that is open to your work and a vision that is as expansive as your grace. May my prayers ask for things that bring you glory, expand the borders of your kingdom, and reach beyond the limited things that so often distract me. I invite you to do great things for your Kingdom through me as I remain connected wholeheartedly to Jesus, to your glory. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
