오늘의 묵상
우리는, 우리 안에 계신 성령께서 일하셔서 우리가 예수님을 닮도록 일하시기를 원합니다. 우리는 이를 위하여 하나님의 뜻에 따라 우리의 마음 문을 열어야 합니다. "주님의 뜻을 행하도록 가르쳐 주시옵소서"라는 말만큼 하나님께서 우리에게 듣기를 원하시는 말도 없습니다. 이것은 우리의 삶과 의지를 조정하시는 하나님께 하나님 역할을 맡겨드리는 것을 의미합니다.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
We want the Spirit to be at work in us, transforming us to become more like Jesus (2 Corinthians 3:18). For this to happen, we must seek Jesus and open our hearts to God's will. There are no greater words God wants to hear than "teach me to do your will." That is what it means for him to be our God. We invite him to have control over our lives and influence over our wills. This is a key part of what it means for us to love God with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength (Matthew 22:37-38). As we open ourselves to the Father in this way, the Holy Spirit puts us on God's level ground and leads us in our journey home to our Father!
내 기도
전능하신 하나님, 주님께서 제 삶 속에 진정한 하나님 되시기를 원합니다. 제 이익을 위해서 주님의 은혜와 친절하심을 조작하거나 이용하려는 그 어떤 시도도 포기합니다. 제 뜻을 주님 앞에 내어놓습니다. 하지만 거룩하신 아버지, 제 자신의 이기적이거나 사악한 욕망들 때문에 제가 길을 잃고 헤메이며 고생할 때가 종종 있음을 고백합니다. 주님의 뜻을 대하는 제 마음이 차갑거나, 제 귀가 도무지 듣지 않는다면, 저를 용서해 주시옵소서. 제 삶을 오늘부터 다스려주시옵소서. 주님께서 제 삶 속에 하나님으로 다스리시기를, 나의 주 예수를 통하여 또 예수의 이름으로 간구합니다. 아멘.
My Prayer...
Almighty God, I want you to be God in and over my life. I renounce any attempt to manipulate or use your grace and kindness selfishly, only for my benefit. I submit my will to yours and ask you to lead and teach me to do your will. However, dear Father, I confess that I struggle at times with my own selfish and evil desires that lead me astray. Thank you for forgiving me when my heart was cold to you, and my ears were shut to your will. Please take control of my life today. Have the Holy Spirit lead me and transform me to be more like your Son and my Savior, through whom I ask you to assert your will as God fully in my life. Amen.
