오늘의 묵상
삶을 가장 풍요롭게 만드는 것이 무엇일까요? 분명 은이나 금은 아닙니다. 그런 것들에 비하면 무한대의 값어치를 갖는 것이 바로 지혜이며, 이런 지혜 덕분에 우리는 값진 것이 무엇인지, 진실한 것이 무엇인지, 우리 마음을 쏟을 가치가 있는 것과 그렇지 않은 것이 무엇인지 이해할 수 있게 됩니다.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
What are the greatest riches in life? Well, surely they are not silver and gold. Of infinitely greater value is wisdom, which helps us understand what is valuable, what is true, what is worthy of our hearts, and what is not. Silver and gold can buy a lot of things, but they can't buy us favor with God, or wisdom and understanding. These only come when we seek God and rely on the gift of the Holy Spirit to give us wisdom that is spiritual and lasting, not something that is fleeting and selfish.

하늘 아버지, 만세 무궁토록 하나님이시며 모든 좋은 것과 완전한 선물을 내려주시는 분이시여, 제게 거룩하고 실제적인 지혜로 축복하셔서, 제게 이미 축복하신 것을 온전히 알게 되고 —아버지께서 원하시는 것처럼— 다른 이들에게도 제가 축복을 끼치게 되도록 도우시옵소서. 예수님 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
My Prayer...
Heavenly Father, God of the Ages and giver of every good and perfect gift (James 1:17), please bless me with holy and practical wisdom so that I can more fully know how you have blessed me and so that I can be the blessing to others in the ways that you want me to be. Please give me wisdom and understanding. In Jesus' name, I ask this. Amen.
