오늘의 묵상
정말로 많은 사람들이 원하는 것은, 우리들이 자기들의 지도를 따르고 자기들의 목소리를 청종하는 것입니다. 오직 하나님만이 여러 시대를 거쳐 신실하셨고 사랑하셨음을 증명하셨습니다. 그분의 능력이 존경받으셔야만 합니다. 모세는 오늘 본문에서, 그런 존경은 "교회에서만" 나타내는 것이 아니라 "삶으로 살아내는" 것이라고 말합니다. 우리도 주님의 명령을 지키고 주님을 섬기며 매일의 삶에서 주님을 의지하여야 합니다. 여러 사람이 모인 곳에서 침묵하며 살아가는 것이 아니라, 주님께 영광을 돌리기 위하여 주님께 대한 존경을 행동으로 나타내는 것입니다!
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
So many people want us to follow their lead, validate their choices, approve of their opinions, and follow their voice. Only God alone has proved himself faithful and loving through the ages, worthy of our devotion as we follow and obey him. In his might, he is to be revered. But rather than seeing reverence only as a "church thing," Moses reminds us that reverence is also a daily "life thing." We are to obey and keep God's commandments. We are to serve him and depend upon him in our daily lives. We are to worship God in the way we live each day.* Rather than just silence in the worship assembly, reverence must also be a committed action in our daily lives as we follow the Lord's guidance and obey his commands, while we serve others to God's glory!*
* Too often we forget that the Holy Spirit defines "worship with reverence and awe" (Hebrews 12:28), worship with praise and doing good to others (Hebrews 13:16), as what we do in our daily lives (Hebrews 13:1-14).

거룩하시고 의로우신 아버지, 제가 찬양하는 대로 살아가고, 제가 말하는 대로 실천하기를 연습하며, 제가 기도하는 대로 추구하려고 하오니, 아버지께 대한 예배를 교회 건물 밖으로 매일 매일 갖고 나와 그렇게 살아가도록 도우시옵소서. 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
My Prayer...
Holy and Righteous Father, please help me take my worship beyond the church building and into my day-to-day life, as I try to live what I sing, practice what I say, and pursue what I pray. In Jesus' name, I ask you to demonstrate your grace as I serve others to your glory in my day-to-day living. Amen.
