오늘의 묵상
사탄은 결코 장난만 치거나 해치는 "척"하는 존재가 아닙니다. 사탄의 권세는 실존하며, 실제로 (여러분을) 해치려는 목적을 갖고 있습니다. 하지만 그 존재를 걱정하며 시간을 낭비하지 말고, 유혹을 받을 때에는 그를 적대하면서 예수님께 초점을 맞춥시다. 예수께서는 갈보리 언덕의 대접전에서 사탄을 이기신 분입니다. 그분께서는 사탄의 가장 강력한 무기를 무장해제 시켜버리셨습니다. 이제 우리는 저항할 수 있으며 사탄은 달아날 것입니다.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
The evil one, the devil, is not an imaginary being or a pretend force we dismiss as a childish fear. He and his power are real, and he intends to do us eternal harm! (Look at the poor man inhabited by a legion of demons in Mark 5:1-20 and see what the evil one would like to do with all of us.) Instead of spending our time worrying about him, however, let's resist him when we are tempted and focus on Jesus. Jesus defeated the evil one and his horde of demonic spirits on the cross (Colossians 2:15). Jesus won the big showdown at Calvary, triumphing over Satan. He took the evil one's greatest tool, death, and our fear of death, and disarmed it (Hebrews 2:14-15). Now we can resist, and Satan will flee because of Jesus in us and for us (James 4:7).
내 기도
전능하신 하나님, 예수님을 보내셔서 사탄이 우리 목을 조이던 권세를 깨뜨려 버리셨으니 감사드립니다. 구세주이신 예수님의 죽음이, 주님과 제 관계가 끝나는 것이 아니라 주님과 제가 함께 사는 생명의 시작임을 확증해 주셨습니다. 하지만 주님, 제 삶 속에서 특별히 (...)라는 분야에서 사탄의 권세를 잘 저항할 수 있도록 도우시기를 간구합니다. 예수님의 능력과 이름을 통해 기도드립니다. 아멘.
My Prayer...
Thank you, Almighty God, for sending Jesus to break the evil one's stranglehold over us and our world. Through the Savior's death, you have assured us that our death won't be the end of our relationship, but the beginning of our life with you forever. Today, I ask that you help me especially resist the evil one's power and influence over my life. Through the power in the mighty name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
