오늘의 묵상
이 말씀은 제게 어렵습니다. 왜냐하면 제가 받은 축복이 너무 많은 줄 알기 때문입니다. 재난과 고통이란 제 어휘사전에 등재되지 않은 것 같습니다. 하지만 이 세상의 많은 곳에서 그리스도인들이 공격받고 박해의 위협과 심지어는 살해 협박을 받으며 살고 있는 것이 사실입니다. 하지만 그들의 하나님께 대한 사랑과 순종의 헌신이야말로 사탄의 위협보다 위대한데, 하나님의 뜻이 그 사람들의 기쁨이 되기 때문입니다.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
This verse is a bit hard for me to say because I know how blessed I am. Trouble and distress do not seem to be a part of my vocabulary right now, although they have been in the past. However, in many places in our world today, believers are under attack, live under the threat of persecution, and face martyrdom. Their love for God, Jesus, and the work of Jesus, and their commitment to obedience outweigh the evil one's threats because they delight in God and in doing his will. Let's follow their example and delight in God's commands! May we be found faithful, even if the consequences of our faith are suffering, persecution, or death.
내 기도
위대하시고 거룩하신 하나님, 핍박받는 주님의 교회들을 축복하시고 자유롭게 하시기를 기도합니다. 하지만 아버지, 육신이 구원받지 못한다 하더라도, 저와 제 형제 자매들이 타협하는 삶에 굴복하기보다는 신실한 죽음을 맞이할 수 있기를 간구합니다. 우리의 믿음을 강하게 하시옵소서: 우리가 믿지마는, 우리의 믿지 못함을 도우시옵소서. 우리가 순종할 수 있도록 주님의 영으로 우리를 강하게 하시옵소서: 우리가 실족할 때에 용서하시옵소서. 무엇보다도, 주님의 영광의 임재 속으로 우리를 구원하여 주시옵소서. 제 구원과 확증이 되시는 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
My Prayer...
Majestic and holy God, please bless and liberate your church under persecution and your precious people facing "trouble and distress." Give us, and give them, courage to be faithful, never surrendering our faith. We believe but help our unbelief.* We trust in you, O God, and we praise you:
To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy — to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen. (Jude 1:24-25)
