오늘의 묵상
하나님의 약속들, 하나님의 성경, 그리고 하나님의 가장 분명한 메시지이신 그분의 아들이 모두 진리입니다. 하지만 마지막에 언급한 그분의 아들만이 진리, 은혜, 구원자, 친구, 주님, 구세주, 형제, 대속자...라는 명칭이 걸맞는 분이십니다.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
God's promises, God's Scriptures, and God's clearest message of all, his Son (Hebrews 1:1-2), are God's truth. But only the last of these is not only truth, but the embodiment of grace, deliverance, love, salvation, power, and redemption: Jesus Christ our Lord. He is Immanuel, God with us (Matthew 1:23). He is the living embodiment, the enfleshment of holy God in human form, the living Word (John 1:14-18). God sanctifies us, makes us clean and holy, as we obey the Father's truth revealed in Scripture. Those Scriptures reveal other ways God has worked to sanctify us. God does sanctify us through the work of the Holy Spirit (Romans 15:16 & 1 Corinthians 6:11). God does sanctify us completely through the saving work of Jesus, the Son (1 Corinthians 1:2 & 1 Peter 1:2). As Jesus' disciples, we are blessed to experience God's words and Word in rich, meaningful ways. So, let's join Jesus and pray for each other to be sanctified by God's truth!

오 하나님, 주님의 진리를 알고 말과 행동으로 (그 진리를) 살아내려는 거룩한 열정을 주시옵소서. 주님의 진리를 선포하셨고 살아내셨던 주님의 말씀(=예수님)을 반영하는 거울처럼 저를 만드소서. 주님의 궁극적인 말씀이 되시는 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
My Prayer...
O Father, please give us a holy passion to know your truth and live it in both word and deed. Please have our lives reflect your Word, who both proclaimed and lived your truth. In the name of Jesus, your ultimate Word, we pray. Amen.
