Pensamento:
Trevas são mais que um símbolo, são uma maneira disseminada de viver e ver o mundo. Nas trevas estão o engano, mal, crime, predadores, pecado e morte. Seguir a Jesus significa trazer nossos corações a ele, e deixá-lo expulsar as trevas que nos atormentam no interior, para que não temamos as trevas ao nosso redor. Desta maneira Jesus nos dá luz. Mas é uma luz que faz mais do que ocupar um cômodo escuro. É uma luz que ilumina nosso coração.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Darkness is more than a symbol; it is a pervasive way of living and viewing the world. Darkness is the place of deception, evil, crime, predators, sin, and death. To follow Jesus means each of us brings our heart to him and lets him cast out the darkness that plagues us inside, so we don't have to fear the darkness outside. In this way, Jesus gives us light that is so much more than just a light that illuminates a dark room. He is the true light, the light of life that the darkness cannot defeat (John 1:4, 9). And this light now shines in us and makes us vessels of grace that share that light with those trapped in darkness (2 Corinthians 4:6-7; Matthew 5:14-16).

Santo Deus que vive em luz gloriosa e invencível, eu te louvo por mandar Jesus para expulsar os medos escuros que tão facilmente me envolvem. My Prayer...
Holy God, who lives in glorious and irrepressible light, I praise you for sending Jesus to cast away the dark fears that so easily envelop me. I pray for strength and courage to not only live in the light, but to show others the way to Jesus, the light of life. In his name I pray. Amen.
