جبکہ پُولس کے دِنوں میں دُوسرے مُنادی کرنے والے اپنی اسناد کے گرد گھوم رہے تھے، پُولس نے شیخی بھگارنے والے تصور کو یہ ثابت کرنے کےلیے رَد کِیا کہ وہ یسُوع کے شاگردوں میں سب سے زیادہ متاثر کُن رکھنے والا ہے۔ اگرچہ اُس کے پاس مخالفوں کا مُنہ بند کرنے کے لیے مذہبی تعلیم اور یہُودی شجرہ نسب تھا، لیکن اُس نے اپنی کمزوریوں کے اُن پہلوؤں کو تسلیم کرنے کو ترجیح دی جہاں خُدا نے خُود اپنی حدُود پر فتح پائی۔ آئیں آج کسی کی مُنادی کی قیمت کا اندازہ اور تعین کرتے ہوئے خبردار رہیں جو اُس کے اپنے تجربے کی بُنیاد پر بنائی گئی ہو۔ بلکہ، اُن لوگوں کی تلاش کریں جن کو خُدا کے فضل نے فتح کِیا ہو۔
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
While other preachers in Paul's day were parading and bragging about their credentials, Paul refused to get into such self-centered contests to prove he was the most impressive of Jesus' disciples. Even though he had the religious education and Jewish pedigree to silence his rivals, he preferred to acknowledge the areas of his weakness where God triumphed over his limitations. God had taught Paul that heaven's power was most on display in Paul's weakness, like Jesus' power over the evil one, which he demonstrated through the cross — the ultimate sign of weakness (Colossians 2:12-15). God demonstrated his power through what Paul did in his weakness so the glory could go to God! Let's be careful about determining someone's ministryworthiness based on his or her resume or reputation. Instead, let's honor people in whom God's grace has triumphed through their weakness!

قادرِ مطلق اور مہربان باپ، تیرا شُکرہو کہ تیری خِدمت کے لیے تُو نے مُجھے اَیسے طریقوں سے برقرار اور قائم رکھا جو میں نے کبھی خُواب میں بھی نہیں سوچا تھا۔ جیسا کہ میں تیرے فضل پر انحصار کرتا ہُوں براہِ کرم میری مدد فرما کہ میں وفاداری سے تیری خِدمت کرُوں۔ یسُوع کے نام میں مانگتا ہُوں۔ آمین۔

Almighty and loving Father, thank you for sustaining and enabling me to serve you in ways I would never have dreamed of doing. Please help me serve you faithfully as I depend upon your grace in my weakness. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
