تاریکی ایک علامت سے بڑھ کر ہے، یہ زندہ لوگوں کا دنیا کو دیکھنے کا ایک وسیع طریقہ اور نظریہ ہے۔ تاریکی ایک دھوکہ، شر، جرم، شکاریوں، گناہ، اور موت کی جگہ ہے۔ یسُوع کی پیروی کرنے کا مطلب ہے کہ اُس کو اپنے دل میں بسانا اور اُس کو ہمیں تاریکی سے نکالنے کا موقع دینا جو ہمیں اندر سے آزاد کرتا ہے تاکہ ہم باہر سے تاریکی سے خوف نہ کھائیں۔ اِس طرح یسُوع ہمیں نُور عطا کرتاہے، لیکن یہ وہ نُور ہے جو کمرے کو روشنی سے بھرنے سے زیادہ روشن کرتا ہے۔ یہ وہ نُور ہے جو دل کو منور کر دیتا ہے۔
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Darkness is more than a symbol; it is a pervasive way of living and viewing the world. Darkness is the place of deception, evil, crime, predators, sin, and death. To follow Jesus means each of us brings our heart to him and lets him cast out the darkness that plagues us inside, so we don't have to fear the darkness outside. In this way, Jesus gives us light that is so much more than just a light that illuminates a dark room. He is the true light, the light of life that the darkness cannot defeat (John 1:4, 9). And this light now shines in us and makes us vessels of grace that share that light with those trapped in darkness (2 Corinthians 4:6-7; Matthew 5:14-16).
میری دعا
مقدس خُدا جو کہ شاندار اور سنبھالی نہ جانے والی روشنی میں رہتا ہے، یسُوع کو بھیجنے کے لیے میں تیری حمد کرتا ہوں تاکہ وہ تاریک ڈر کو دُور کر دے جو کہ مُجھے چھُپا لیتی ہے۔ میں اُس قوت اور جرأت کے لیے دُعا کرتا ہوں کہ میں نہ صرف نُور میں رہوں بلکہ دُوسروں کو بھی راستہ دکھاؤں۔ یسُوع کے نام میں۔ آمین۔
My Prayer...
Holy God, who lives in glorious and irrepressible light, I praise you for sending Jesus to cast away the dark fears that so easily envelop me. I pray for strength and courage to not only live in the light, but to show others the way to Jesus, the light of life. In his name I pray. Amen.
