Pensamientos sobre el Verso de Hoy
Cuando más necesitamos ayuda, Jesús nos promete estar ahí. También mandará a su Espíritu con las palabras que necesitamos. Tras los siglos, esta promesa ha sostenido a los que se enfrentaban a la persecución. Les ayudó a reconocer que no estaban solos y que no era necesario preocuparse de tener la respuesta perfecta para quienes les atormentaban. La misma promesa es nuestra hoy si es que somos perseguidos o tenemos que enfrentar a quienes se nos oponen en el trabajo, la escuela o la casa. Cuando tenemos que enfrentar a nuestros enemigos, sabemos que no estamos solos, nuestro Salvador nos acompaña.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
When we need help most, Jesus promises he will be there and will send his Spirit to give us the words we need. Throughout the centuries, this promise has sustained those facing persecution and ridicule. It helped them realize that they were not alone and that they didn't need to worry about having the perfect answer to everything going in to face a hostile audience. This same promise sustains Christians today whether they are under governmental persecution or facing the hostility of unbelievers in the workplace, at school, or at home. When facing our enemies, we know we are not alone; our Savior goes with us.
Mi oración
Dios Amoroso, preciso de tu fuerza y la ayuda del Espíritu Santo mientras hablo con los que se oponen a tu evangelio de salvación. Quiero que tus palabras, no las mías, sean las que escuchen. Dame sabiduría para saber cuándo hablar, lo que debo decir y cuando debo de mantener el silencio. En el nombre de Jesús oro, Amén.
My Prayer...
Loving God, I need your strength and the Holy Spirit's help as I speak with those who are opposed to your message of salvation. I want your words, not mine, to be what others hear in that crucial moment of confrontation. Please give me wisdom to know when to speak, what to say, and when to remain silent. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
