आज के वचन पर आत्मचिंतन...
क्रोध, धमकी, अपमान, चिड़चिड़ाहट और कठिनाई का जवाब देने के लिए धैर्य की आवश्यकता होती है — बहुत धैर्य की। क्रोध में जल्दबाजी से जवाब देना मूर्खता है। एक जल्दबाज़ी में, बिना सोचे-समझे दिया गया जवाब शायद ही कभी हमारे मनचाहे दीर्घकालिक प्रभाव पैदा करता है। इस तरह का उग्र स्वभाव वाला जवाब हमेशा उन समस्याओं को और बढ़ा देता है जिन्हें हल करने की ज़रूरत होती है। निराशाजनक और दर्दनाक स्थितियों से धैर्यपूर्वक निपटना हमारी समझ को दर्शाता है और लंबी अवधि में लगभग हमेशा अधिक फलदायी होता है। साथ ही, धैर्यपूर्ण और बुद्धिमान तरीका दोस्ती, ईमानदारी और सम्मान के अनावश्यक नुकसान को रोक सकता है।
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Responding to aggravation, threat, insult, irritation, and difficulty requires patience — great patience. Responding hastily out of anger is foolish. A hasty, unfiltered response seldom produces our desired long-term effect. This quick-tempered kind of response nearly always compounds the problems that need to be addressed. Patiently dealing with frustrating and painful situations shows our understanding and is nearly always more fruitful in the long run. Plus, the patient and wise approach can prevent the unnecessary loss of friendships, integrity, and respect.
मेरी प्रार्थना...
हे पिता, मैं धैर्य और आत्म-नियंत्रण माँगता हूँ। मैं जानता हूँ कि ये गुण मेरे जीवन में पवित्र आत्मा की उपस्थिति के फल का हिस्सा हैं। मैं पवित्र आत्मा को मेरे हृदय पर और अधिक प्रभाव डालने के लिए आमंत्रित कर रहा हूँ, क्योंकि मैं देखता हूँ कि यीशु ने अपने जीवन और सेवकाई में कठिन परिस्थितियों को कैसे संभाला। कृपया मुझे समझ और बुद्धि दें ताकि जब तक मुझे शामिल मुद्दों और लोगों के बारे में प्रार्थना करने और सोचने का अवसर न मिले, तब तक मैं अपना मुँह बंद रखूँ, और तभी उत्तर दूँ। यीशु के नाम में, मैं प्रार्थना करता हूँ। आमीन।
My Prayer...
Father, I ask for patience and self-control. I know these virtues are part of the fruit of the Holy Spirit's presence in my life. I am inviting the Holy Spirit to have more impact on my heart as I look to how Jesus handled difficult situations in his life and ministry. Please give me the understanding and wisdom to keep my mouth shut until I have had an opportunity to pray and think about the issues and people involved, and only answer then. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
