बच्चों को केवल तथ्यों, सत्य और स्कूली विषयों की शिक्षा देने की ही आवश्यकता नहीं है; बल्कि उन्हें परमेश्वर के अनुग्रह, यीशु के मार्ग और पवित्र आत्मा की अगुवाई में जीवन जीने के लिए प्रशिक्षित और तैयार किए जाने की भी आवश्यकता है। यह प्रशिक्षण उनके माता-पिता और उनके जीवन में उपस्थित अन्य विश्वासी वयस्कों की ओर से मिलना चाहिए। अपने अंतर्मन में हम यह भली-भाँति जानते हैं कि जीवन केवल बौद्धिक पाठों और जानकारियों तक ही सीमित नहीं है। वास्तविक जीवन और सार्थक जीवन-शैली का अर्थ यह है कि हम परमेश्वर के सत्य को अपने दैनिक जीवन की रूपरेखा में इस प्रकार समाहित करें कि हम अपने बच्चों और उन बालकों के सम्मुख—जिन्हें परमेश्वर ने हमारे प्रभाव क्षेत्र में रखा है—उन्हें न केवल सिखाएँ, वरन उनके सम्मुख एक आदर्श भी प्रस्तुत करें। स्वर्ग में विराजमान हमारा पिता हमें यह आह्वान करता है कि हम अपने बच्चों और उनके प्रशिक्षण को अपनी प्राथमिकताओं की सूची में सर्वोच्च स्थान दें। हमारे बच्चे अनन्त काल के लिए हैं; जबकि अन्य वस्तुएँ, जिनमें हम अपना समय व्यतीत करते हैं, क्षणभंगुर हैं। इसलिए, आइए हम बच्चों को प्रशिक्षित करने और उनके सम्मुख आदर्श जीवन जीने के प्रति स्वयं को पुनः समर्पित करें, ताकि वे अपने सम्पूर्ण जीवन भर परमेश्वर के मार्ग पर चल सकें।
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Children don't just need to be taught facts, truth, and school subjects; they need to be trained and prepared for life in the grace of God, the way of Jesus, and the leading of the Holy Spirit. This training should come from their parents and other faithful adults in their lives. Deep down, we know that life is not just about intellectual lessons and information. Authentic life and productive living are about integrating God's truth into the fabric of our daily lives as we teach truths and model it before our children and the children God places under our influence. Our Father in heaven calls us to move our children and their training to the top of our list of priorities. Our children are forever; other things we invest our time in are temporary. So, let's recommit to training up children and living as examples before them so that they will follow the way of God their whole lives.

My Prayer...
Great and holy Counselor, please help me as I seek to know the best way to share your love and truth with my children and the children you have placed into my circle of influence. I want them to know and love you, respect you, honor you, and live for you. Please, dear Father, bless me with the wisdom and courage I need to make wise decisions on how to lead and discipline these children. I need your help to display tenderness toward these precious children as I seek to demonstrate your righteous character, gracious compassion, and faithful love and justice in my daily life. In Jesus' name, I pray for your help. Amen.
