오늘의 묵상
예수님께서 우리 삶에 가져다주신 소망에 대해 사람들에게 말해줄 준비가 되어 있어야합니다! 하지만 우리가 그 소망에 대해 나눌 때에는 두가지 중요한 점이 있습니다: 우리 자신의 신뢰성(정말로 예수님께서 우리 마음의 주님이신가)과 우리의 성품(우리가 그들을 설득하려 할 때에 친절하고 그들을 존중하는 태도를 보여주는가)입니다. 우리의 목표는 논쟁에서 이기는 것이 아니라 하나님의 성품에 대해 열린 마음을 얻는 것입니다!
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Peter, the great apostle, is calling us to be ready and able to tell folks about the hope that Jesus has brought into our lives. This must be an "always readiness" because we don't know when the opportunity to share our hope may come our way. Two things are incredibly important as we share this hope:
- Our Credibility: Is Jesus really Lord of our hearts or not? The reality of our passion, or lack of passion, for Jesus' lordship in our lives will shine through in our daily lives, as well — the way we treat people, the language we use, our hope for the future, and our kindness to those who need grace.
- Our Character: Do we show gentleness and respect in the way we approach and treat others, especially those who question us? The goal is not to win arguments but to win hearts to the grace and goodness of God through our daily lives.

거룩하시고 사랑하시는 아버지, 예수님 안에서 아버지의 은혜를 말씀하심에 감사드립니다. 다른 어떤 메시지를 듣지나 않았는지 확실치 않으니 예수님 안에 있는 제 소망을 나누는데 필요한 확신을 제게 주시고 아버지의 은혜를 잘 반영하는 방식으로 일하도록 도우시옵소서. 산 소망이신 예수님 이름으로 기도드립니다. 아멘.
My Prayer...
Holy and Loving Father, thank you for speaking your grace into my heart through the gift of Jesus. I'm not sure I would have heard any other message. Please give me the conviction to share my hope in Jesus passionately, yet in ways that reflect your grace, patience, and kindness. Through Jesus, my Living Hope, I pray. Amen.
