오늘의 묵상

우리 우주의 막대한 넓이 속, 수십억의 수십억승보다도 많은 별들 중에서 우리가 사는 이 작디 작은 파란 행성은 마치 해변가의 셀 수 없이 많은 모래알 중에 단 한개와도 같지만, 하나님께서는 그 속에 사는 우리들 중 한사람 한사람을 잘 아십니다. 그런 지식은 진실이라고 믿기에는 너무 엄청나지만, 참된 지식입니다! 하나님께서는 우리들을 단순히 "아실" 뿐만 아니라, 우리를 아끼시고 우리를 자신께로 이끌고 가기를 간절히 원하시며, 예수님 안에서 그런 사랑을 보여주셨습니다.

Thoughts on Today's Verse...

In the immense expanse of our universe with its billions upon billions of stars, we recognize that Earth is just a tiny blue planet in the great expanse of all that is. We are little more than a speck of sand on an inestimable seashore we call the universe. Yet God, the Creator, has chosen to know each of us personally and created us for a specific purpose (Psalm 139:13-16). Such a lovingly knowledgeable Creator may seem too wonderful to be true, yet he is that and more! God has shown his love for us in Jesus. Jesus is God's reminder that he not only knows us as our Creator, but also knows us as we are in human flesh because he came to us in human flesh as Jesus (John 1:14-18). The Sovereign Lord loves us, and his great power and outstretched arm are working for our eternal good!

내 기도

오 위대하신 하나님, 여러 하늘들의 하나님, 주님께서 지으신 위대한 우주 속에 참으로 작은 일부분인 저를 그렇게 돌보아주시니 감사드립니다. 주님의 사랑은 제가 이해할 수 있는 범위 밖이지만, 제가 주님의 얼굴을 마주 볼 수 있는 날이 올 것이라는 은혜를 깨닫고 나니 제 몸에 전율이 느껴집니다. 예수님의 이름으로 하나님을 찬양합니다. 아멘.

My Prayer...

Great God of creation, thank you for caring for me even though I am such a small part of your great work in the universe. Your love is beyond my comprehension, yet it thrills me to know that you know me and are working to bring me to you so I can see you face-to-face, know you intimately, and see you as you truly are.* In Jesus' name, I praise you. Amen.
