오늘의 묵상
우리는 외모, 외형, 겉모습에 매우 집착합니다. 하나님의 관심은 어디 있을까요? 예수님께서 핵심을 지적하시는데, 핵심은 바로 우리 영혼의 마음 상태입니다. 몸 속으로 들어가는 것에만 초점을 맞출 것이 아니라, 우리들 마음 속에 어떤 것이 자라도록, 혹은 머리 속에 솟구치는 생각들을 관리하는 데에 초점을 맞추기를 원하십니다. 가장 열심히 관심을 가져야 할 곳은 바로 우리 내면의 세계입니다. 겉모습에 관심을 갖는 것 만큼의 시간을 자신의 내면의 세계를 가꾸는데도 쓰고 있는지, 솔직하게 자신에게 물어봅시다!
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
We get so hung up on externals, appearances, and facades. Jesus cuts to the core of God's concern — our spiritual heart condition. He wants us to not only focus on what we put in our body, but what we allow to grow in our hearts and simmer in our heads. The inner world is what needs our most earnest attention. So let's be honest and ask if we are spending as much time focusing on our inner world as we are focusing on our external appearance!

오 하나님, 마음과 심령을 감찰하시는 하나님, 제 입술의 말과 제 마음의 생각들이 당신을 기쁘시게 하기를 원합니다. 성령의 정결하게 하심으로 깨끗하여지고 새단장 되도록, 제 내면 세계를 올려드립니다. 악한 욕망이나 불순한 생각들로부터 제 심령을 지켜 주시옵소서. 예수님 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
My Prayer...
O God, who searches minds and hearts, may the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart be pleasing to you. I offer you my inner world to cleanse and redecorate by the sanctifying work of your Holy Spirit. Please guard my heart from evil ambitions and my mind from impure thoughts. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
