오늘의 묵상
복음의 핵심은 예수님의 죽으심, 무덤에 묻히심, 다시 살아나심과 제자들에게 다시 나타나심에 있다고 사도 바울은 분명히 말합니다. (고린도전서 15:1-8) 성찬식, 성만찬 등으로 불리기도 하는 주님의 만찬은 그리스도와의 동행에 가장 중요한 부분입니다. 이 시간은 복음의 소식을 선포하는 시간(고전 11:26 참조)이기도 하지만, 단순히 선포하는 것 뿐 아니라 그리스도의 피와 몸에 참여하는 시간입니다. 성찬식에서 그리스도와 서로 간에 나누게 됩니다. 이런 참여 의식으로 우리는 구원자와의 동행에 생동감을 더하고, 그분의 구원하시는 죽으심과 부활을 다시 회상하도록 도움을 받습니다.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
The Apostle Paul makes clear that the heart of the Gospel is found in the death, burial, resurrection, and appearances of Jesus (1 Corinthians 15:1-8). The Lord's Supper, Communion or Eucharist as it is sometimes called, is a key part of our walk with Christ. It is a time where we proclaim the story of the Gospel (cf. 1 Corinthians 11:26). But, it is more than a time of proclamation; it is a time of participation. We share in the supper with each other and with Christ. This participation revitalizes us in our walk with the Savior and helps us re-live his saving death and resurrection.

거룩하신 하나님, 사랑하시는 아버지, 주님의 성만찬을 제게 허락하시어 감사드립니다. 이것은 제 죄악의 대가를 갚기 위해 엄청난 액수를 지불하신 예수님을 생각나게 하여, 아름답기도 하고 또 뉘우치게도 합니다. 당신께서 저를 사랑하시는 정도를 볼 수 있고, 죄와 사망에서 저를 해방시키는 속죄하심을 기억나게도 합니다. 당신의 아들, 제 구원자이신 분의 거룩한 희생을 나눌 수 있도록 초대하여 주셔서 감사를 드립니다. 제가 그 소중한 선물을 당연한 것으로 생각하거나 잘못 이용하지 않기를 원합니다. 예수님 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
My Prayer...
Holy God and loving Father, thank you for giving me the Lord's Supper. It is such a beautiful and convicting reminder of the tremendous cost Jesus paid for my sin. It is such a beautiful reminder of the love you have for me and the ransom paid to set me free from sin and death. Thank you for inviting me to share in the holy sacrifice of your Son and my Savior. May I never take it for granted or misuse this precious gift to me. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
