Se você soubesse o endereço de Jesus em Nazaré no ano 20 a.D., você poderia ter chegado àquela casa para dizer, "Deus mora aqui!" Enquanto a doutrina de Jesus ser totalmente Deus e totalmente homem — totalmente Deus, porém ter se esvaziado de todo o Seu privilégio divino (Fp. 2:5-7), — é quase impossível entender, é a realidade da graça. Deus escolheu ser como nós porque nós não poderíamos ser como Ele. Deus desceu a nós porque não poderíamos ascender até Ele. Em Jesus, Deus veio para nós completamente para que pudéssemos ser completos nEle.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
If you had known Jesus' address in Nazareth along about A.D. 20, you could have gone to that house and said, "God lives here!" While the doctrine of Jesus being fully God (John 1:1-3, 14, 18; Hebrews 1:3) and fully man — fully God yet having emptied himself of all his divine privilege (Philippians 2:5-7) — is nearly impossible to grasp. God taking on human flesh and being Immanuel, God with us (Matthew 1:23), is the awesome reality of grace. God chose to be like us because we could not be like him. God came down to us because we could not ascend to him. In Jesus, God came to us so we could be given fullness in Christ. By faith and in baptism, we are joined to Jesus; his victory over sin, death, demons, and hell (Colossians 2:12, 15), along with our spiritual deliverance (Colossians 1:13-14) and our future glory with Christ (Colossians 3:1-3) are fully assured!

Todo Poderoso Deus, reconheço que o Senhor é grande demais para eu compreender. Assim como o Senhor é maravilhoso e poderoso e majestoso, sua graça é ainda maior. Obrigado por enviar Jesus para que pudesse lhe conhecer. Obrigado por enviar Jesus para que pudesse ser perdoado. Obrigado por enviar Jesus para que pudesse ir para casa com o Senhor e viver para sempre. Obrigado, Jesus, por ter vindo me redimir e voltar ao Pai para que possa falar com Ele através do Senhor. My Prayer...
Almighty God, I acknowledge that you are too great for me to comprehend fully. Yet as marvelous, mighty, and majestic as you are, you are far greater than my mind can grasp. Your grace, O God, amazes me. Thank you for sending Jesus so I can know you. Thank you for sending Jesus so I could be forgiven and delivered. Thank you for sending Jesus so I can go home to you and live forever. Thank you, Jesus, for coming to redeem me and then returning to the Father so I can speak to him through you. In your name, Jesus, and because of your grace, I pray with boldness before our Father. Amen.
