오늘의 묵상
우리 주변의 믿지 않는 사람들이, 우리들과 다른 가치관 체계를 가졌다 해서 놀라지는 말아야 합니다. 검은 밤하늘에 둘러싸여 밝게 빛나는 별 하나를 보았다고 놀라지 않는 이유와 마찬가지입니다. 빛나는 별과 예수님의 제자는 공통점이 있습니다: 어둠 속에서 그 빛을 비춥니다. 주변의 어두움이 얼마나 큰지 전혀 관계 없이 말입니다.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
We shouldn't be surprised that unbelievers around us have a different set of values than we do. After all, a star isn't surprised to find that it shines in the great expanse of darkness surrounding it. You see, a star and a disciple of Jesus share one basic purpose: shining our light in the darkness, no matter how great that darkness!

거룩하시고 의로우신 주님, 당신의 영광을 목도하고 당신의 임재앞에 서게 될 날만을 기다릴 뿐입니다. 어두움에 압도된 내 주변을 비추는 빛이 되도록 용기와 온전함을 주시옵소서. 예수님 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
My Prayer...
Holy and righteous Lord, I can only anticipate the day I see your glory and stand in your presence. Please give me the courage and integrity to be a light to those around me overwhelmed by the darkness. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
