오늘의 묵상
일주일이 넘게 살펴본 (요한1서에서) 요한은 강조하고 또 강조했습니다. 우리는 그리스도 안에서 우리의 형제와 자매를 사랑해야만 합니다. 이것이 가장 중요한 매듭입니다. 만약 우리가 하나님을 사랑한다면, 그리스도 안에서의 그의 자녀들과 우리 형제 자매들을 사랑해야 합니다. "~해야 할겁니다", "~해보렵니다", "~하고 싶습니다" 정도가 아닙니다. 우리는 사랑해야 합니다! 성경에는 "~해야 한다" 라든지 "반드시 ~해야만 하리라" 등의 명령어투를 그리 많이 사용하지 않습니다. 하나님께서 제시하시는 요점은 분명합니다. 서로 사랑하는 것은 선택도 아니고, 협상도 아니며 더더욱 미룰 수 없는 것입니다. 하나님께서는 하나님 자녀들 모두의 죄를 위해 죽게 하시려고 예수님을 보내신 겁니다. 그리스도께서 그렇게 많이 베풀어 주신 바로 그 사람들을 어떻게 사랑하지 않을 수 있겠습니까? 바울이 고린도교인들에게 말했듯 "하나님의 사랑이 우리를 휘어잡습니다!" 우리는 반드시 사랑해야만 합니다.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
For over a week, John has repeatedly reminded us that we MUST love our brothers and sisters in Christ. Today's reminder, however, is the clincher. If we love God, we MUST love his children, our brothers and sisters in Christ. Notice that the word isn't "should love..." or "will try to love..." or "want to love..." No, the word is "MUST!" God's point is clear: Loving each other is not optional, negotiable, or something to be delayed. God sent Jesus to die for the sins of all of God's children. How can we not love those for whom Christ died (Romans 14:15; 1 Corinthians 8:11). As Paul will say to the Corinthians, "God's love compels us" (2 Corinthians 5:14). We MUST love God's children!

왕이신 주님, 당신의 자녀들을 사랑할 때에 까다롭게 굴었던 것을 용서해 주십시오. 그리스도 안에 있는 나의 형제들과 자녀들을 축복해주시고, 양분을 공급해주시고, 계속 살아가도록 지지해 주십시오. 특히 큰 시험에 놓이고 짐을 진 자녀들 몇몇을 위해 특별히 기도하고 싶습니다... (하나님의 도움이 필요하다고 알고 있는 몇몇 사람을 나열해보세요) 또한 사랑하는 아버지, 제가 그들을 실제로 도와 사역하도록 저를 사용해 주십시오. 예수님 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
My Prayer...
Sovereign Lord, forgive my sometimes selective practice of loving your children. With your grace, I ask you to bless, nourish, and sustain my brothers and sisters in Christ, whether they like me or don't like me, whether they show love to me or seek to harm me. Help me love them more — more fully, more consistently, and more like Jesus. I pray today for several of your children who have great trials and burdens... (Please list some of those you know who need God's help). Empower me through your Spirit to love some who are hard for me to love. Use me to minister to them in tangibly loving ways. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
