오늘의 묵상
이 성경구절의 정의에 따르면, 신자라고 주장하는 엄청나게 많은 사람들은, 영적인 측면에서는 말 그대로 "시체"들입니다. 진짜 믿음이란, 섬김 속에 자신을 드러낼 수 밖에 없습니다. 믿음은 산들을 옮길 수 있을 뿐 아니라, 믿는 자들이 하나님을 영화롭게 하고 타인을 축복하도록 만들수 있으며, 하나님의 엄청난 은혜에 대한 감사의 표현이 되는 것입니다.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
By this definition, I fear that many people claiming to be believers are spiritual corpses. For our faith to be genuine, James says it must express itself in good deeds. Jesus said something similar in his Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 7:21). Faith not only moves mountains but must also move believers to act in ways that honor God and bless others. Faith also becomes a true believer's way of demonstrating thankfulness to God for his amazing grace.

거룩하시고 신실하신 아버지, 영적인 삶에서 게을렀던 때를 용서해 주십시오. 매일 매일 주시는 수많은 섬김의 기회를 보게 해주시고, 내 이웃을 축복하는 방법으로 그 기회들 속에서 행동할 수 있도록 힘을 더해 주십시오. 예수님의 거룩하신 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
My Prayer...
Holy and Faithful Father, please forgive me for the times I've been lazy in my spiritual walk when my faith didn't prompt me to do good deeds. Help me see the many opportunities for service you give to me each day and empower me to act on those opportunities in ways that bless others and honor you. In Jesus' holy name, I pray. Amen.
