Pensamento:

Ainda me lembro quando meus filhos eram pequenos. Entrava escondido no quarto deles e olhava-os dormir. Às vezes queria verificar se estava tudo bem quando estavam doentes. Às vezes era apenas para sentar e orar por eles, juntando-me ao Senhor, enquanto Ele cuidava deles durante seu sono. Às vezes era para me banhar na graça e maravilha do amor de Deus por me dar tais bênçãos. Mesmo agora quando são bem maiores, adoro entrar no quarto deles para orar, contemplando estes presentes preciosos do Pai. Saber que meu Aba Pai cuida de mim da mesma forma, porém com mais alegria e gozo ainda, me enche com gratidão.

Thoughts on Today's Verse...

I still remember when my children were little. I would sneak in and watch them sleep. Sometimes, it was to check on them when they were sick. Sometimes, it was to sit and pray for them, joining the Lord as he watched over them while they slept. Sometimes, it was to bathe myself in the grace and wonder of God's love for such blessings. Even now that they are much older, I still love to be around them and pray for them when I visit them in their homes. I still marvel at the wonder of these precious gifts from the Father to Donna and me. To know that my Abba Father in heaven looks at me in the same adoring way, that he will not let my foot slip, and will not slumber as he watches over me with delight and joy, ah, that fills me with unspeakable wonder. Our Abba will not let our feet slip! Our Abba will not slumber.

Oração:

Agora me deito para dormir, e oro para que o SENHOR me guarde no seu cuidado amoroso, ajudando-me a saber que o Senhor sempre está comigo. Obrigado por sua graça e amor, e por Jesus que agora está nos céus, por compartilhar com o Senhor cada uma das minhas preocupações, que me deixam saber que o Senhor está sempre presente. Now I lay me down to sleep,
