आज के वचन पर आत्मचिंतन...
जब हमने बपतिस्मा में यीशु के नाम से पुकारा और उसे अपना उद्धारकर्ता मानकर उस पर भरोसा किया, तो हम पाप के लिए मर गए (रोमियों 6:3-4)। उसकी मृत्यु और पुनरुत्थान में भागीदार बनकर, हम मरने के लिए मर गए (रोमियों 6:8-10; यूहन्ना 11:25-26)। यीशु में हमारे विश्वास और परमेश्वर की शक्ति के कारण हम मृत्यु से जीवन में आ गए (यूहन्ना 5:24; कुलुस्सियों 2:12)। हमारा जीवन यीशु के साथ जुड़ गया है, और उसका महिमामय भविष्य हमारा हो गया है (कुलुस्सियों 2:12, 3:1-4)। हम व्यवस्था के अधीन नहीं, बल्कि अनुग्रह के अधीन हैं। आइए हम अनुग्रह के इस उपहार का पवित्र होने के जुनून और उत्साह के साथ जवाब दें। आइए हम पवित्र आत्मा के परिवर्तनकारी काम के लिए खुद को खोल दें, जो हमें हर दिन यीशु जैसा बनाने के लिए काम कर रहा है और हमें लगातार बढ़ती हुई महिमा में बदल रहा है (2 कुरिन्थियों 3:18)। हम अनुग्रह-पुत्र हैं। हम अपनी धार्मिकता नहीं कमाते। हम उद्धार के लिए कानून नहीं मानते। वास्तव में, हम ऐसे किसी भी प्रयास में कभी सफल नहीं हो सकते। हम पाप के बंधन में नहीं हैं, बल्कि अनुग्रह से मुक्त हैं ताकि हम वह सब बन सकें जो परमेश्वर ने हमें बनाया है—उसकी कारीगरी, उसकी कलाकृति जो अच्छे काम करने के लिए बनाई गई है (इफिसियों 2:1-10)। तो आइए हम पाप को अपना स्वामी बनने से इनकार करें और हमें मिले अनुग्रह में पूरी तरह से जिएँ!
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
As we called on Jesus' name in baptism and trusted him to be our Savior, we died to sin (Romans 6:3-4). By sharing in his death and resurrection, we died to dying (Romans 6:8-10; John 11:25-26). We passed from death to life because of our faith in Jesus and God's power (John 5:24). Our life is joined with Jesus, and his glorious future becomes our own (Colossians 2:12, 3:1-4). We are not under law, but grace. Let's respond to the gift of grace with passion and with zeal to be holy. Let's open ourselves to the transforming work of the Holy Spirit, who is daily at work transforming us to become more like Jesus with ever-increasing glory (2 Corinthians 3:18). We are grace-children. We don't earn our righteousness. We don't keep laws to be owed salvation. In fact, we could never succeed at such a venture. We are not in bondage to sin, but liberated by grace to be all that God has made us to be — his craftsmanship, his artistry created to do good works (Ephesians 2:1-10). So let's refuse to let sin be our master and live fully into the grace we have received!

My Prayer...
Purify my heart, dear Lord, and make it new and alive to your grace and dead to the sin that once entangled me. By grace I rejoice and choose to live by the power of your Spirit. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
