오늘의 묵상
그리스도인으로서 우리의 최종목표는 어떤 율법에 복종하는 것이 아니고, 법칙들을 모아서 지키자는 것도 아니고, 심지어는 어떤 규율의 추종자가 되자는 것도 아닙니다. 그리스도인으로서 우리의 최종목표는, 예수님의 성품과 사역을 본받고 그대로 행동하는 것입니다. 이것은 우리 안에서 행하시는 성령의 사역(고후 3:18)이며 사도 바울이 오늘 본문과 다른 곳에서도 명료하게 밝힌 바 있듯이(갈라디아서 4:19), 다른 형제자매들을 향해 노력하던 바울의 목표도 이것이었습니다. 우리도 부모로서, 친구로서, 영적 멘토로서 이런 일을 해야 하지 않을까요?
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Our goal as Christians, as disciples of Jesus, is not to obey some ancient law, adhere to some arcane set of rules, or even follow some prescribed spiritual discipline. Our goal as Christians is to be conformed to the character, way of life, and heart of Jesus (Luke 6:40). We want to be JESUShaped people. This is also the Holy Spirit's work in us (2 Corinthians 3:18). As Paul the apostle makes clear here and elsewhere (Galatians 4:19), his goal is to see "Christ formed" in new disciples. Shouldn't this be our work as parents, friends, and spiritual mentors, too? We want to see each other, those we love, those we influence, and those in Jesus' family, fully and perfectly mature in Christ Jesus.

거룩하신 주님, 제 마음과 말과 삶과 사역과 행동들이 예수님을 닮고 똑같이 하나되기를 원합니다. 말뿐만이 아닌 제 삶 속의 주님이 예수님이 되시기를 원합니다. 예수님의 거룩하신 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
My Prayer...
Holy Lord, conform my heart, words, life, ministry, and actions to those of Jesus. I want him to be my Lord, not just in my words but also in my daily life. In addition, dear Father, please empower me with the Holy Spirit so I can better help others in Jesus' family, and help them mature into the roles you have for them, as you mature them into a more perfect example of their Lord. I pray this in the name of Jesus, my Lord and Savior. Amen.
