오늘의 묵상
여러분의 삶을 향한 하나님의 주인되심과, 여러분의 매일의 삶에 하나님께서 요구하시는 의로움을 구하고 끈질기게 추구하십시오. 여러분이 추구하는 다른 모든 것들은 일시적인 것들입니다. 오직 하나님과 그의 나라만이 영속할 것입니다. 하나님의 나라와 그의 의를 구하는 과정에서, 여러분에게 하나님의 나라와 의를 제공해 주신다는 것을 알게 될 것이며, 주님께서는 여러분이 (그 과정에서) 필요로 하는 것들을 여러분의 삶 속에 축복하시며 공급하실 것입니다.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Jesus is speaking in his Sermon on the Mount. He wants us not to worry about all the stuff we often pursue. So, let's seek (pursue relentlessly) God's Lordship over our lives and his righteousness, which reflects his holy character in our daily dealings. Everything else we pursue is temporary. Only God and his Kingdom remain. As we pursue God's Kingdom and his righteousness, Jesus promises that the one who gives us his Kingdom and his righteousness will also bless us with what we need in this life, as well!
내 기도
거룩하신 주님, 제 영혼이 갈구하는 것을 만족시킬 수 있는 것은 오직 주님 안에서만 찾을 수 있습니다. 제 눈을 사로잡는 것들은 결국 조금만 지나면 지루해질 뿐입니다. 제가 추구했던 것들중에 인공적인 것들, 중독적으로 찾았던 모든 것들이 저를 공허하게 하고 노예로 만들어 버렸습니다. 오직 주님 안에만 제 소망과 도움이 있습니다. 주님의 영광을 위해서 저를 기꺼이 사랑하시고, 교정하시고, 훈련시키시고, 이끄시고 빚으시옵소서. 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
My Prayer...
Holy Lord, only in you do I find what satisfies my soul's deepest desires. The things that have captured my eye are boring after only a short while. The artificial things I have pursued, all of my addictive interests, have left me empty, enslaved, and in debt. I find hope and help only in you alone. I join with the psalmist, David, and confess:
In God alone my soul finds rest; my salvation comes from Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation. He is my fortress; I will never be shaken. (Psalm 62:1-2)
I rest my life in you alone, O Lord. I seek first your Kingdom. All my other pursuits and striving are a mere chasing after the wind. So, I draw near to you so you can correct, discipline, lead, and mold me into your faithful servant. In Jesus' name, I pray and confess. Amen.
