இந்தநாளுக்குரிய வேதவார்த்தையின் கருப்பொருள்
மேய்ப்பர்கள் அந்த இரவில் தங்களுக்குச் சொல்லப்பட்டதை கேட்டு , கண்ட பிற்பாடு தங்கள் மந்தைக்கு திரும்பினதை நினைத்து பார்க்க கூடுமா? அவர்கள் தேவனுடைய மகிமையை கண்டார்கள். அவர்கள் தேவதூதர்களின் பிரசன்னத்தை அனுபவித்தார்கள். அவர்கள் புதிதாகப் பிறந்த ராஜாவையும், வாக்குதத்தம்பண்ணப்பட்ட மேசியாவையும், உலக இரட்சகரையும் கண்டார்கள். அவர்கள் சொன்னது போலவே ஆச்சரியமாக இருந்தது. தேவதூதர் கூறின வார்த்தைகள் எவ்வளவு ஆச்சரியமாக இருந்ததோ, அவைகள் மகிமையாய் நிறைவேறின. ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசுவின் பிறப்பும் , தேவனுடைய மாபெரிதான வாக்குறுதியும் உத்திரவாதத்தின் வெளிப்பாடாய் இருக்கிறது. அவர் சொல்லிய வார்த்தையை நிறைவேற்றுவார், வாக்குமாறாதவர். நம்பமுடியாத அளவிற்கு, தேவன் நமக்குப் பெயரிடப்படாத மற்றும் அவர்களின் உடன் வேளையாட்களுக்கு முக்கியமில்லாத மேய்ப்பர்களை, தேவனின் மகிமையான இரட்சிப்பின் சாட்சிகளாகவும் பங்கேற்பாளர்களாகவும் தேர்ந்தெடுத்தார். நாம் யாராக இருந்தாலும், இயேசுவானவர் நமக்காக வந்தார் என்பதை நினைவூட்டுவது நம் பிதாவின் சித்தமாகும் !
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Can you imagine the shepherds returning to their flocks after the night they had? They had seen God's glory. They had experienced the presence of angels. They had seen the newborn King, the promised Messiah, the Savior of the world. Even more amazing, it was just as they had been told. As amazing as the angel's words of announcement had been, they were gloriously fulfilled. In addition to all that Jesus was at the moment of his birth, he is also the absolute answer to God's greatest promises and the greatest assurance that God keeps his word. Incredibly, God had chosen shepherds, unnamed to us and unimportant to their peers, to be the witnesses and participants in God's glorious story of salvation. It is our Father's way of reminding us that no matter who we are, Jesus came for us because we are important to him!

சர்வவல்லமையுள்ள தேவனே , உம்முடைய மகிமையை அனுபவித்த அந்த மேய்ப்பர்களுக்கு எப்படி இருந்தது என்பதை என்னால் கற்பனை செய்து பார்க்க முடிகிறது. இருப்பினும், அன்பான பிதாவே , இயேசு எனக்கு எவ்வளவு முக்கியம் என்பதை நான் அறிவேன். என்னை நேசிப்பதற்காகவும், உமது கிருபையினால் என் இருதயத்தை அடைந்ததற்காகவும் நான் உம்மைப் போற்றுகிறேன். நீர் எனக்காகச் செய்த அனைத்திற்கும் நன்றியுடன் என் வாழ்க்கையை வாழ முற்படுகையில், என்னைப் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்தி, உமது பரிசுத்த ஆவியின் கிரியையின் மூலமாய் என்னை நீதிமானாக்குங்கள். இயேசுவின் மகிமையான நாமத்திலே ஆமென்.
My Prayer...
Lord God Almighty, I can only imagine what it was like for those shepherds who experienced your glory. However, dear Father, I do know how much Jesus means to me. I praise you for loving me and reaching my heart with your grace. Sanctify me and make me righteous through the work of your Holy Spirit as I seek to live my life in appreciation for all that you have done for me. In Jesus' glorious name. Amen.
