오늘의 묵상
의로움은 우리에게 큰 축복이 됩니다. 폭력은 그 자체로 사악한 대가를 초래하는데, 폭력을 사용한 바로 그 사람에게 돌아옵니다. 무엇을 선택하시려나요? 축복 혹은 폭력? 격려 혹은 상스러운 입? 무엇을 선택해야 할까요? 하나님께서 다른 사람이 아닌 바로 나의 성품을 빚어가시도록 하는 선택을 해야 할 것입니다.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Righteousness brings us great blessings. Violence becomes its own vile reward, bringing to those who use it what they have done to others (Matthew 26:52). So what's our choice? Righteousness or wickedness? Blessings or violence? Encouragement or a foul mouth? The real choice is whether or not we let God define character and not our selfish culture or our own self-interest or our desire to get even.
내 기도
아버지를 기쁘시게 하기 위해, 아버지의 나라를 축복하기 위해, 자신과 다른 이들과 어린 아이들까지 폭력으로 파괴시키는 사람들이 그 폭력의 문제를 깨닫도록 돕기 위해 살아가고 싶습니다. 예수님 이름으로 기도합니다.
My Prayer...
Holy God, I want to live the kind of life that pleases you — a life of righteous character, gracious compassion, and faithful love. Father, I want to bring your Kingdom and your grace to others. I want to help others see that violence is destructive to themselves, to others, and also to the little children. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
