오늘의 묵상
물! 지치고 목마른 사람에게 소중한 선물입니다. 물! 원기회복을 위해 가장 필수적인 것이지요. 하지만 예수님께서 우리에게 주시려는 물은 들고 다니거나 정수해야 할 필요가 없는 물입니다. 이 물은 우리 안에서 솟아나는 물입니다. 성령께서 우리에게 주시는 물입니다. 우리에게 지금부터 영원까지 지속되는 영원한 삶을 주는 물입니다!
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Water! That precious gift for the tired and thirsty.
Water! That essential refreshing liquid we all need for life.
Water! That spring of living water welling up to eternal life and renewing our spirits.
Jesus offers water we don't have to carry, find, purify, or resupply. Jesus' water wells up within us. The Holy Spirit brings us Jesus' water because we are his disciples who believe in him (John 7:37-39). Jesus' water gives us eternal life, which begins now, lasts throughout each day we live, and continues forever (John 4:14, 5:24). This water of eternal life is a gift from Jesus, our Lord!
내 기도
아버지, 제가 그리스도인이 되었을 때에 예수님께서 성령을 제 안에 보내신 것을 압니다. 제 고집센 의지와 죄로 가득찬 욕망들이, 성령님의 권능으로 극복되기를 간구하며, 회복시키시는 임재하심이 주시는 기쁨과 확신이 제 삶 속에 드러나기를 기도합니다. 예수님 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
My Prayer...
Father, I know Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to live in me when I became a Christian, a disciple of my Lord. I ask that my stubborn will and my sinful desires will be overcome with the Spirit's transforming power so that my life will display the joy and confidence that your refreshing presence brings. In Jesus' name, and because of his living water, I pray. Amen.
