Размышление над стихом дня
Бог желает слышать наши молитвы. Но старайтесь, чтоб они не становились чрезмерно сосредоточенными на себе, ведь Бог желает, чтобы мы всегда помнили о благодарности. Не нужно очень стараться, чтобы наша молитва превратилась в последовательность просьб. Мы обкрадываем самих себя, когда из наших молитв исчезает благодарение и хвала. Без хвалы наши сердца делаются тусклыми, потому что мы только то и делаем, что думаем о наших проблемах, и молитва превращается в перечень пожеланий.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
God wants to hear our prayers. But to keep them from becoming too self-focused, God wants us always to remember to give thanks (Philippians 4:6). It is so easy for us to turn prayer into a request-only exercise. We are the ones who are left bereft when thanksgiving and praise are stolen from our prayers. Without praise, our hearts grow dim because all we think about is our problems, and prayer becomes a wish list of stuff we selfishly want as we treat God as our heavenly Santa Claus. If God gave us his Son to show us his love — and he did — what will he withhold? We can trust God to guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus as we pray with thanksgiving and remember the loving Father to whom we pray.

Благодатный Боже, у меня есть множество причин прославлять тебя. Перед лицом испытаний и трудностей, Твои обетования пробуждают мою надежду. В период победы я благодарю тебя за мои способности. Когда мне надоедает суета повседневной жизни, Твои сюрпризы радуют меня. Благодарю, Боже, что Ты такой великий и такой любящий. Во имя Иисуса. Аминь.
My Prayer...
Gracious God, I have so many reasons to praise you. In the face of trial and hardship, I have your promises to reawaken my hope through your presence in my life and the power of the Holy Spirit. In the moment of victories, I have you to thank for my abilities and the power to accomplish things for your glory. In my boredom with the routine, I can find great joy in your surprises. Thank you, God, for being so great and yet so lovingly present and attentive to my needs. In Jesus' name, I thank and praise you. Amen.
