خدا ميخواهد دعاهاى ما را بشنود. اما براى اينكه دعايمان زيادى بر خودمان متمركز نباشد، خدا از ما ميخواهد كه همواره شكرگزارى را بياد داشته باشيم. اين براى ما خيلى آسان است كه دعايمان را تبديل به يك خطِ تقاضا بكنيم. اين ما هستيم كه هنگاميكه دعايمان تهى از شكرگزارى و ستايش است، خودمان نيز تهى و محروم ميشويم. بدون ستايش، دلهايمان كدر و تاريك ميشوند زيرا كه ما تنها به مشكلاتمان مى انديشيم و دعا تبديل به فهرست تقاضاها ميشود.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
God wants to hear our prayers. But to keep them from becoming too self-focused, God wants us always to remember to give thanks (Philippians 4:6). It is so easy for us to turn prayer into a request-only exercise. We are the ones who are left bereft when thanksgiving and praise are stolen from our prayers. Without praise, our hearts grow dim because all we think about is our problems, and prayer becomes a wish list of stuff we selfishly want as we treat God as our heavenly Santa Claus. If God gave us his Son to show us his love — and he did — what will he withhold? We can trust God to guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus as we pray with thanksgiving and remember the loving Father to whom we pray.
دعای من
خداى مهربان، من دلائل بسيارى براى ستودن تو دارم. من در رويارويى با آزمايشها و سختيها وعده هاى تو را دارم كه باعث حركت دوباره اميد در من ميشود. در لحظه پيروزي، من تو را در كنار خود دارم تا براى تواناييهايم تو را سپاس گويم. من در كسالت آورى روزمرگى، شاديهاى بزرگى در غافلگير كردنهاى تو دارم. خدايا سپاسگزارم براى اينهمه بزرگي و مهربانى. در نام عيسى. آمين.
My Prayer...
Gracious God, I have so many reasons to praise you. In the face of trial and hardship, I have your promises to reawaken my hope through your presence in my life and the power of the Holy Spirit. In the moment of victories, I have you to thank for my abilities and the power to accomplish things for your glory. In my boredom with the routine, I can find great joy in your surprises. Thank you, God, for being so great and yet so lovingly present and attentive to my needs. In Jesus' name, I thank and praise you. Amen.
