오늘의 묵상

우리는 왜곡된 가치관들, 거짓 약속들, 순식간에 사라지는 명성으로 뒤범벅된 세상에 살고 있습니다. 주님 사랑의 변함없으심과, 주님의 은혜의 엄청난 부요함과, 주님 축복의 비교불가한 공급하심과, 주님 백성들의 친절함과, 우리 구원을 위한 주님의 자비로우신 계획과, 주님의 미래에 대한 약속 등등... 그 외에 우리가 대체 무엇을 자랑할 수 있겠습니까? 주님과 그분의 영원한 은혜 외에 조금이나마 자랑할 의미가 있는 것이 있겠습니까?

Thoughts on Today's Verse...

We live in a world with skewed values, false promises, lust for notoriety, and desperation for fleeting fame. The real question for us, needs to be this: What can we boast in other than the steadfastness of the Lord's love, the incredible riches of the Lord's grace, the incomparable supply of the Lord's blessings, the sweetness of the Lord's people, the mercy of the Lord's plan for our salvation, the promise of the Lord's tomorrow, and the promise of the Lord Jesus' nearness (Philippians 4:5; Romans 8:38-39; Hebrews 13:5-6) — who is with us and in us and for us? So, dear friend of Jesus, let's have our only boast be in Lord because that is where everything else that matters in our lives can be found!

내 기도

장엄하시며 자비로우신 주님, 제 삶 속에 선하고 오래 견디는 것들이 있다면, 다 주님 덕에 가진 것들입니다. 이런 제 말이 참 단순하지만, 마음에서 우러나온 것입니다. 예수님의 이름으로 감사를 올려드립니다!

My Prayer...

Lord of majesty and mercy, every good and enduring thing in our lives we have because of your love, grace, mercy, and presence. You are our assurance and hope. You are our blessing and boast. We place our assurance of a glorious future in you, Lord Jesus. In your name, we offer our thanks and praise as we boast only in our Lord. Amen.
